Nikki Haley Insists She Has Zero Interest in Trump VP Position: ‘It’s Not Even a Conversation’
'It's offensive,' the 2024 GOP hopeful said about those speculating she's gunning to be vice president
Nikki Haley has no interest in becoming Donald Trump's — or anyone else's — vice presidential nominee.
In an interview with CBN's (Christian Broadcasting Network) David Brody, Haley was asked about the possibility of joining the Trump ticket.
"It's offensive when anybody says, 'Oh, she wants to be vice president.' You don't do something like this to be vice president," she said.
The former United Nations ambassador argued a recent uptick in her polling numbers is due to her being free of "drama" compared to Trump.
"With me, there's no drama, there are no vendettas, there's no whining. It's just work," she said.
Asked if she was definitively ruling the possibility out, Haley said the VP conversation is not one she's willing to have with any candidate.
"It's not even a conversation, and it doesn't matter what candidate wants me to answer it, I don't play for second," she said.

While Haley partnering up with the man who regularly calls her "birdbrain" would seem like an odd fit, she did work in Trump's administration as an ambassador.
Brody is also far from the first person to bring up the idea. At Turning Point USA's AmericaFest event, Trump supporter and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson was asked about a potential Trump-Haley ticket.
Despite his vocal support for the former president, Carlson said Haley's involvement would be enough for him to "advocate" against Trump in 2024.
Lara Trump helped fuel speculation about Haley when she told Newsmax to "never say never" about Trump asking Haley to fill the role.
