Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a call with President Joe Biden indicated that the country will launch a ground operation in Gaza, Axios reported.
"We have to go in," Netanyahu reportedly told Biden.
The call occurred Sunday, just one day after Israel was attacked by Hamas in an assault that left hundreds dead and thousands more wounded on either side of the conflict.
At least nine Americans have been killed so far. Biden's administration has pledged "unwavering support" for Israel amid the conflict.
