MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough Predicts Trump’s Attacks on New York Judge Will ‘Probably’ End In Call for ‘Execution’
The 'Morning Joe' and former GOP congressman predicted the ex-president will target Arthur Engoron the same way he's targeted a top general
MSNBC's Joe Scarborough argued on Tuesday that former President Donald Trump is putting his lawyers in a "no-win" scenario by lashing out at Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron in his New York fraud case.
Trump attended his first day of trial on Monday where his lawyers argued the former president was innocent of the charges against him. New York Attorney General Letitia James has accused him of inflating the value of his businesses in fraudulent exchanges.
Trump already called for the resignation of Engoron after his Mar-a-Lago property was valued at approximately $18 million. According to Trump, the Florida property is worth 50-100 times more than that.
The judge said the valuation came from a Palm County Beach official and was made between 2011 and 2021.
Before the current civil trial, Engoron found Trump liable for fraud and ordered the dissolution of Trump’s New York business empire.
He also called James a "monster" and said she should be "sanctioned" over the valuation, which he insists is to make him "look bad."
On Tuesday's "Morning Joe," Scarborough, a former Republican congressman from Florida, mocked Trump for attacking the man presiding over a case that will heavily affect his future.

"I wasn't in that part of my law school class on judge trials where the professor told you if it's a judge trial and the judge is determining your future, that it’s best for you to insult him and call him a loser and attack him," he said. "It makes no sense."
Scaborough added Trump is doing "the exact opposite of what he should be doing." He also cited Trump's recent attacks against former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley to argue Trump may soon be calling for the "execution" of the judge.
"He's continuing to drive his car off the cliff and leave his lawyers in a no-win position. And then, after it's over, he’ll probably call for the execution of the judge like he called for the execution of General Milley. It is a zero-sum game, and it’s a game he loses every time."
Trump recently suggested in a Truth Social post that Milley could be put to death in another time over a reported call the general made to his China counterpart warning about Trump.
Former Trump officials John Kelly and John Bolton have quickly condemned the comments about Milley, with Bolton arguing this week it's "entirely possible" the former president wants his supporters to act on his Milley attacks.
