Mississippi Republican Gov. Tate Reeves and Democratic candidate Brandon Presley will have their only debate on Wednesday night, just under one week before the state's competitive gubernatorial election.

The hour-long debate will be televised at 7 p.m. and held in Jackson, Miss. It will be the only debate held between the two before the election.

The race between the pair has been competitive, with Presley announcing a record-breaking fundraising total for the state last month. For his part, Reeves is hoping to win a second term in the traditionally red state.
