Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., has created a resolution to re-institute the Senate's dress code after Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., introduced a casual standard for senators over the weekend.

"Next week, Senator Manchin intends to file a bipartisan resolution to ensure the Senate dress code remains consistent with previous expectations," a Manchin spokesperson told The Messenger.

Schumer's move—thought to be a gesture to Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., who is known for wearing shorts and a hoodie—received bipartisan criticism.
