Kentucky Gubernatorial Hopeful Daniel Cameron Releases Ad Touting Trump Endorsement

His Democratic challenger, Gov. Andy Beshear, is still leading the polls

Kentucky GOP gubernatorial hopeful and Attorney General Daniel Cameron released a new TV ad on Wednesday touting former President Donald Trump's endorsement.

"I’m the only candidate endorsed by President Trump and the only candidate who stood up to Joe Biden," Cameron says in the ad.

He also attacked his opponent, Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear.

"I fought the Biden agenda in court to defend Kentucky. Andy Beshear, he never will," Cameron continued.

Although Trump won Kentucky in the 2020 presidential election by 26 percentage points, the Democratic candidate is leading the polls in this gubernatorial race.

A survey from early October showed Beshear at 49%, while Cameron had only 33% of the votes.

Cameron is also trailing Beshear when it comes to fundraising numbers — while the Democratic governor reported last week his campaign raised $1.5 million in 30 days, the attorney general raised $529,000 in the same amount of time.
