Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear announced on Thursday his re-election campaign raised $1.5 million in the last 30 days.

The Democratic candidate has now $1.9 million in cash on hand, according to the Lexington Herald Leader. His GOP challenger Attorney General Daniel Cameron has only reported about $529,00, with $968,000 left on hand.

Beshear's campaign has raised around $18 million in this race, while Cameron is at about $4.8 million. In September, Beshear announced his fundraising numbers since the primaries, when he was already way ahead of the GOP candidate.

“Once again, our fundraising report shows sky-high enthusiasm for the governor that is reflected on the ground, in polling and in the millions raised to support our campaign," said Beshear's campaign manager  Eric Hyers.

The current governor has been leading the race in recent polls, with 49% of voters compared to Cameron's 33%.

In response to the latest fundraising numbers, Cameron's campaign spokesperson Sean Southard showed optimism.

“Team Cameron has the resources to win on November 7. Andy Beshear is bankrolled by Joe Biden. We are running an aggressive campaign around the state," Southard wrote. "This fall, Kentuckians will retire the Beshear family once and for all.”
