Judge Sets Rudy Giuliani Defamation Trial Date Dec. 11
The trial, which will only determine the cost of damages Giuliani will be ordered to pay Freeman and Moss, has been estimated to last three to five days
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani will appear in court for his defamation trial on Dec. 11, a federal judge decided on Wednesday.
U.S. District Judge Beryl Howell found Giuliani liable for defaming election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea "Shaye" Moss during the efforts to overturn the 2020 election after he resisted turning in discovery in the case.
The trial, which will only determine the cost of damages Giuliani will be ordered to pay Freeman and Moss, has been estimated to last three to five days.
Freeman and Moss haver also requested that Giuliani foot the cost for their attorneys' fees, along with the $132,000 in legal fees Howell ordered Giuliani to pay to the poll workers.
The former attorney for former President Donald Trump was sued last week for $1.36 million by his legal team for failing to pay his legal bills and has repeatedly been struggling with the costs of all his legal woes.
