JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon on Wednesday urged Americans and wealthy corporation leaders to support former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley for president in 2024, even if they are a "liberal Democrat."

“Even if you’re a very liberal Democrat, I urge you, help Nikki Haley, too. Get a choice on the Republican side that might be better than [Donald] Trump,” Dimon told Andrew Ross Sorkin at the New York Times DealBook Summit, according to multiple sources.

Recently, Haley told CNBC's Squawk Box that she and Dimon spoke by phone about the state of the economy.

Despite his encouragement for voters to back Haley, he didn't say that the Republican nominee should be anyone but former President Donald Trump.

“I would never say that, you know, because he might be the president and I have to deal with him too,” Dimon said.
