Half of voters said they hold an unfavorable view of Vice President Kamala Harris, according to a new Messenger/Harris poll conducted by HarrisX

The survey found that 51 percent of voters view Harris negatively while 38 percent view her positively — a net favorability rating of -13.

President Joe Biden (-13) and former President Donald Trump (-9) also posted net favorability ratings that were well underwater in the new Messenger/Harris poll.

The poll's findings are in line with other recent surveys of the vice president. A recent NBC News poll showed that 32 percent of voters viewed Harris favorably compared to 49 percent who viewed her unfavorably. The -17 net favorability was the lowest point for a vice president in the history of NBC News' polling.

The Messenger reported earlier this month that Democrats have been pushing for Harris to take on a more public-facing role in an attempt to boost her standing with the public heading into the 2024 election.

The Messenger/Harris pol was taken June 19-23 among 2,875 registered voters and had a margin of error of 1.8 percentage points.

The NBC poll was conducted among 1,000 registered voters from June 16-20 and had a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points.
