Haley Campaign Hits DeSantis, Ramaswamy: Fall ‘All Over Themselves to Copy Trump’

Nikki Haley's campaign manager knocked Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramswamy for racing to copy Donald Trump, according to a newly published memo.

In the memo to donors, obtained and published by Axios, Haley's campaign accuses her fellow 2024 candidates of falling over themselves to mimic Trump.

"Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy fall all over themselves to copy Trump on everything from policy to his leadership style," Haley campaign manager Betsy Ankney wrote in the memo.

Haley and Ramaswamy clashed at the first GOP primary debate over foreign policy, with Haley accusing her competitor of wanting to abandon Israel and being too inexperienced to handle the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The former president meanwhile is running "as an incumbent," the campaign manager added, and benefits from being the most well known candidate in the race, while Haley is "blazing" her own path.

"Some run as 'Trump-lite,' while others throw rocks at Trump to win points in the media. All are wrong, all will fail, and all show a lack of leadership," the memo reads.
