GOP Sen. Chuck Grassley said on Wednesday that there is no evidence, at least yet, that "the president is guilty of anything" in the probe investigating the role of President Joe Biden in his son's business dealings.

"All I can say is there’s some indication of maybe some compromise with China particularly, but I have no evidence of it," Grassley, R-Iowa, told CNN's Manu Raju, referring to Hunter Biden's business with China.

Hunter Biden also made a surprise appearance on Capitol Hill Wednesday, saying he appeared to correct the record of the GOP's "illegitimate investigation" of his family, which he said is based on "distortion, manipulated evidence and lies."

"I’m going to just follow the facts where they are," Grassley continued. "And the facts haven’t taken me to that point where I can say that the president is guilty of anything.”
