Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy, who's frequently a harsh interrogator of the Biden administration, said House Republicans have so far failed to present any solid evidence to back their suspicions President Joe Biden benefitted from his son's overseas business dealings.

Yet they are pressing forward with an impeachment inquiry based on those suspicions, he noted.

“The House Oversight Committee has been at this for years, and they have so far not been able to provide any concrete evidence that Joe Biden personally profited from his son Hunter’s overseas business,” Doocy said on Fox Business.

“But they are going to try again with this impeachment inquiry set to start next week.”

House Republicans formalized a resolution this week regarding an impeachment inquiry of the president.

They are expected to vote on authorizing the inquiry next week, although they have not yet presented evidence proving the president committed any crime.

Hunter Biden has agreed to testify before Congress, but only in a public hearing, which House Republicans contested, opting for a closed-door deposition "just like every other witness."

Hunter Biden was indicted in California on Thursday on three felony tax charges, including tax evasion.
