Adam Laxalt, chairman of the Never Back Down PAC supporting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis's White House bid, stepped down this week, following the resignation of its CEO Chris Jankowski.

Laxalt's resignation, confirmed by the Messenger, comes amid reported internal conflicts in the PAC, which may have contributed to the creation of a second super PAC backing the Florida governor and his presidential bid, Far Right Inc.

Laxalt, The former Nevada Attorney General and longtime Trump ally, joined Never Back Down in April, and has been a vocal supporter of DeSantis on his X account.

"After nearly 26 straight months of being in a full-scale campaign, I need to return my time and attention to my family and law practice,” Laxalt wrote in a letter to the PAC's board on Nov. 26. "I am not resigning, however, from the urgent mission of electing Ron DeSantis as President of the United States."
