A group aimed at electing Democrats to the House of Representatives announced on Friday it outraised its Republican counterpart during the most recent fundraising quarter.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee announced on Friday it had raised $26 million during the third quarter, according to a press release, roughly $7.5 million more than the National Republican Congressional Committee.

Still. the NRCC said in a separate release that its fundraising numbers “marks the best presidential cycle off-year Q3 and best presidential cycle off-year September in NRCC history.”

According to the NRCC, just in September it raised $9.3 million, while during the entire third quarter, it raised $18.5 million. The group reported having $36.1 million in cash on-hand.

“Democrats made life more expensive and dangerous for everyday Americans – they are completely fed up with these policies and they are desperate for relief," said NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson in a statement. "The NRCC is capitalizing on this enthusiasm, sprinting to the on-year with record-breaking fundraising to grow our House majority.”

The DCCC, on the other hand, said it raised $11 million in September, and raised $93 million to-date. According to the DCCC, the group had more than $44 million in cash-on-hand at the end of the quarter.

“House Republicans continue to demonstrate that they are utterly incapable of governing responsibly and delivering for the American people. While the House is paralyzed due to Republican dysfunction, voters are seeing how unserious Republicans are and they are eager for a change,” DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene said in a statement, referring to the ongoing House Republican speaker fight.

“Our united House Democratic Caucus, led by Leader Jeffries, continues to build momentum towards taking back the majority and getting the House back to work to support the middle class and grow our economy,” her statement continued.

On Friday, House Republicans rejected their latest pick, Republican Rep. Jim Jordan, for Speaker of the House during the third round of voting this week. This means the process will continue into a fourth week.

The ongoing fight over the next House Speaker comes as both Republicans and Democrats are gearing up for an intense fight over the House of Representatives next year. Republicans currently hold the majority, but only by a slim margin, and Democrats only need to flip five seats to win control of the lower chamber.
