CNN’s Jake Tapper: Trump White House Missing Intel Seems ‘Worse Than What Hillary Clinton Was Accused Of’
A CNN investigation recently found that a 10-inch-thick binder containing Russian intelligence from the CIA went missing toward the end of Donald Trump's time in office
CNN host Jake Tapper suggested a missing classified folder from the Trump White House could be "worse than what Hillary Clinton was accused of doing as Secretary of State."
"I seem to recall one of the main arguments against Hillary Clinton was Republicans saying that she was allegedly careless with classified information by using [a] private email server," said Tapper.
"They seemed to care quite a bit about this and how it could expose [spy] assets to horrible things," he noted.
"I’m not a national security expert, I’m just a journalist, but this seems worse than what Hillary Clinton was accused of doing as Secretary of State," Tapper added.
An often used refrain by both supporters and foes of Clinton while discussing government wrongdoing is: "But Hilary Clinton's emails ..." An investigation determined that there was no deliberate mishandling of classified information in the emails sent to or from Clinton's private server.
The FBI determined that only one of some 30,000 communications were considered "secret" and two were "confidential" at the time they were sent.

“There was no evidence that the senders or former Secretary Clinton believed or were aware at the time that the emails contained classified information,” concluded a report by the Inspector General's Office of the Justice Department.
As for the Trump administration, a CNN and New York Times investigation recently found that a 10-inch-thick binder containing highly sensitive intelligence regarding Russian meddling in the 2016 American presidential election vanished in the last days of former President Donald Trump's time in office.
Former chief of staff Mark Meadows was accused of having the binder in his possession by former aide Cassidy Hutchinson, but Meadows denied mishandling any classified information.
