GOP presidential hopeful Chris Christie blamed former President Donald Trump for Republican Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron's loss in the gubernatorial race against incumbent Gov. Andy Beshear.

"The losing will only end for Republicans if we rid ourselves of Trump," Christie said in a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Cameron lost the race against the incumbent governor on Tuesday by over five percentage points in Kentucky, which has typically trended Republican, but Beshear has proven to be a very popular governor.

Trump, the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination, endorsed Cameron for governor back in June 2022.
