Republican presidential contender Chris Christie is warning that Donald Trump will "sell the soul of this country" in a fresh New Hampshire ad.

The former New Jersey governor pushed instead for a president who "cares more about the country than himself."

"Donald Trump, he will sell the soul of this country," Christie said in the ad.

"I'm not perfect. I made mistakes. But I always tell you the truth," he added.

Christie has faced calls to drop out of the 2024 race due to his low polling, but he instead dropped a seven-figure ad buy this week in New Hampshire, where the Republican has said he expects to beat expectations.

The New Hampshire primary is set for Jan. 23. A CBS News/YouGov poll found only 10% of primary voters choosing Christie as their top choice in the race.

According to FiveThirtyEight, Christie is averaging around 3.4% nationally, while Trump takes more than 60% support.
