Boebert Returns to Colorado With New Strategy Amid Scandal and Tough Reelection Bid
The shift in Boebert’s strategy also comes as her Democratic opponent, Adam Frisch, continues to outraise her, making the rematch a close one
Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., returned to Colorado over the weekend with a new strategy amid her recent scandal and a tough reelection bid, according to the Associated Press.
The embattled representative has revamped her campaign strategy to include apologies to voters at campaign events after she was caught on tape vaping and groping her date during a production of "Beetlejuice."
Speaking to voters at the Montezuma County Lincoln Day Dinner on Saturday, Boebert said she owed “each and every one of you here a deep, heartfelt apology.”
She has also offered olive branches to local outlets she once labeled as biased and has made ballot harvesting, which she has derided as a sneaky tactic by Democrats, part of her new strategy.
The shift in Boebert’s strategy comes as her Democratic opponent, Adam Frisch, continues to outraise her, making the rematch a close one. Recent numbers show Frisch has already raised $7.7 million, making it the third-largest House campaign chest. Boebert on the other hand has only raised $2.4 million.
