Tucker Carlson, Alex Jones Crack Up Recalling Prank Phone Call To Ex-CNN Host Brian Stelter
'I'm not usually gay, but I want you,' the InfoWars host recalled telling his frequent media critic
Before Tucker Carlson and Alex Jones sat down for a chat in the latest episode of "Tucker on X," they decided to prank call a former CNN host.
During their chat, Carlson explained Jones and his producer had a few drinks the night before and decided to call former CNN host Brian Stelter, a vocal critic of both Jones and Carlson and author of "Network of Lies" which examined Carlson's ouster from Fox News.
"He was very kind of syrupy sweet with you," Carlson recalled.
"That's why I was sarcastic and told him I want to date him," Jones said.
"You did, yeah," Carlson added. "In fact, the exact line you had was, 'Brian, I'm not usually gay, but I want you.' "
Jones said he was being "silly" with Stelter and said he took a dig at Stelter over his canceled "Reliable Sources," which often took a critical look at conservative media, particularly figures like Jones and Carlson — he accused Carlson of mirroring Jones' conspiracy theory personality in 2021.
"I said, I want you to call my show and he went, oh you still got a show? And I went, no, you're the one who doesn't have a show," Jones said.

"Reliable Sources" was canceled by CNN last year amid a slew of changes at the network.
Jones continues hosting on his InfoWars platform, but the network is far more difficult to follow today after Jones was booted from every major social media platform over his political rhetoric and conspiracy theories.
Jones said during his chat with Carlson that he plans on retiring from the airwaves soon, suggesting he may "disappear like Obi-Wan Kenobi."
"Now there's been a paradigm shattering, and I'm almost obsolete, Tucker,” Jones said. "As soon as I see a couple hundred more prominent people who actually know what’s going on, when we're already reached chain-reaction point, I'm going to hang it up and disappear like Obi-Wan Kenobi."
