Italian Groomsmen Charged After Staging Fake Terrorist Attack at Bachelor Party

Nine men have been charged with "causing public alarm" in Italy following a bachelor party prank that involved pretending to kidnap the groom while masquerading as terrorists.

According to The Guardian, the party-goers, clad in balaclavas and black helmets and armed with pellet guns, arrived at the groom's home in Trofarello. They acted out a scenario where they pretended to be members of Isis, gagging the groom and hauling him into the back of a van.

Unbeknownst to the local residents, this was merely a party prank. However, the stunt incited fear and confusion when bystanders believed they had witnessed a real kidnapping. Multiple neighbors promptly contacted the police, and it was reported that one elderly man even fainted from shock.

Local law enforcement swiftly established checkpoints around the town, tracking the van to the residence of one of the faux "kidnappers." Torino Today reported that the groom was found still in the van, unaware of the fact that the entire event was a prank.

The group's faux weapons were confiscated by the police, and they now face charges for inciting public panic. A court appearance awaits them.
