A prisoner who escaped police custody in New York City by using a rope made of towels knotted together to rappel from a fifth-floor hospital window remains on the lam three weeks after his daring getaway.

The 6-foot-3, 250-pound Yenchun Chen slipped out of Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in Manhattan on Aug. 9 and is still at-large.

An NYPD spokesman told The Messenger on Friday there is "no information" on Chen, 44.

He was initially arrested on July 31 on charges of criminal possession and criminal sale of a controlled substance and was being held in lieu of bail.

Corrections officers took him to the hospital on Aug. 4 for a cardiac issue, where he was able to make his escape after asking for towels in order to take a shower.

Chen reportedly then used the towels to lower himself out of the window and onto a nearby air conditioning unit before reaching street level.

He hasn't been spotted since hailing a yellow cab outside of the hospital.

An earlier report that he had been captured in New Jersey on Aug. 10 turned out to be false.

Anyone with information about Chen should call NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
