Two London women are accused of terrorism-related offenses for carrying pictures of paragliders at a Pro-Palestinian march last month, according to authorities.

Heba Alhayey, 29, and Pauline Ankunda, 26, have both been charged with “carrying or displaying an article, namely an image displaying a paraglider, to arouse reasonable suspicion that they are supporters of a proscribed organization, namely Hamas,” in connection with a rally Oct. 14 in Whitehall, London, a news release from the Crown Prosecution Service read.

The paraglider photos seemingly allude to the Oct. 7 attacks perpetrated by Hamas during which some terrorists infiltrated Israel from Gaza via paragliders, sparking the start of the Israel-Hamas war.

Alhayey and Ankunda turned themselves in this week after police announced they were wanted on the charges.

The pair were released on bail and have been ordered to appear in court Nov. 10, per the release.

“We know that the public are very concerned about some people using the veil of legitimate protest to carry out criminal or even terrorist activity and we have shown that we will do everything we can to identify where that happens and that we will seek to bring those who may be responsible to face justice.” Dominic Murphy with the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command said, according to The Guardian.

The suspects face up to six months in prison if convicted.

Police continue to search for a third woman and a man spotted at Pro-Palestinian protests in London suspected of proclaiming their support for Hamas.
