An Ohio woman was arrested after she dragged her husband down the street, using his car, when he told her he wanted a divorce.

After the husband, 31, asked for a divorce, the wife, 38, allegedly took his phone and got inside the couple’s Hyundai Elantra. When the husband reached through an open window to retrieve his phone, the wife closed the car window, trapping the husband, according to Cleveland.com

The wife reversed the car out of the driveway and the man stumbled and fell. The woman kept driving, dragging her husband down the street.

Witnesses told police that ATV and motorcycle drivers surrounded the car, in an attempt to slow the woman down.

She continued driving, at a high speed, down several streets before the man was able to break the window and free his arm.

One of the witnesses allowed the victim to sit in their car, while they called 911.

The victim was bleeding from multiple abrasions all over his body, according to police. There was an exposed bone on his foot. He was treated by emergency medical services and then taken to a nearby hospital, according to Cleveland.com.

The wife was arrested inside the couple’s home and has been charged with felonious assault and domestic violence.
