A British fitness influencer was arrested for attempted murder after he allegedly gave his boss a piece of chocolate despite the victim's severe allergy.

Jody Bunting, 45, complained that he was "paraded" around England's Luton Airport in handcuffs upon returning from a vacation in Morocco because authorities believed he intentionally attempted to kill his health manager, DerbyshireLive reported.

A former star on Channel 4's morning show "The Big Breakfast," Bunting became well-known for "halving" his body weight from 434 pounds down to about 196 pounds over several years, according to his website.

Bunting claims he was already on vacation by the time his health manager, Kimberly Hoskins, was exposed to chocolate at the Mickleover Court Hotel Leisure Club in late October and had to be rushed to the hospital.

"It's like a dream — it hasn't quite sunk in what's actually happening," he told the Daily Mail.

"I just can't believe the police have taken such a small matter so seriously."

Bunting is out on bail, but he is forbidden from visiting the club where he has worked as a fitness instructor since 2017. He said he has heard little from the authorities since his Nov. 2 arrest.

The details surrounding the alleged chocolate poisoning remain murky.

For now, Bunting said he's focusing on his online weight loss coaching business — but he admitted it's been difficult trying to explain to his clients that he is being investigated for attempted murder.

"When I tell people it's over a piece of chocolate, they actually laugh out loud, which is even more amusing because of my slimming work and past," he told the Daily Mail.
