The announcement detailed that the device will operate on a brand new VisionOS, designed explicitly for spatial computing. This will allow users to interact with Apple iOS via their eyes, hands, and voice, thereby providing access to apps and other features currently available on iPhones and computers. The Vision Pro is equipped with 23 million pixels across two displays.

While worldwide anticipation for this announcement was palpable, video footage of the event revealed a collective gasp when the price tag was disclosed.

Seven years of development culminate with the new device, slated for release in 2024, carrying a hefty price tag of $3,500, as reported by The Sun.
