Watch: Potential Robber at Houston Gas Station Thwarted After Being Shot By Pistol-Packing Mama
The suspect can be seen falling to the ground and dropping his own gun
A would-be thief at a Houston gas station had his plans foiled when a pregnant woman pulled a gun on him and opened fire.
An unidentified man and woman were held up at a gas station on June 27, according to KRIV. Surveillance footage captured suspect Mario Ipina Duque allegedly hitting the man with a pistol and threatening to kill him. In response, both the man and the woman, who is in the ninth month of her pregnancy, pulled guns on Duque and shot him.
Duque can be seen in the surveillance footage falling to the ground and dropping his gun, while other customers fled the parking lot.
After shooting Duque, the couple continued to hold him at gunpoint until police arrived.
Duque, who was suffering from several gunshot wounds, was hospitalized and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful carrying of a weapon, according to KRIV.
Duque remains in police custody.
