Viral Burger King Cook Who Never Missed a Day of Work — Then Got Mug and Candy From Company — Buys First Home With GoFundMe Cash
Kevin Ford recently closed on his first home and shared the joyous news with his social media following
The endearing Burger King cook who became TikTok famous for the paltry goodie bag the fast food giant presented him with for never missing a day of work in 27 years is now a proud homeowner.
TMZ reports Kevin Ford recently closed on a home in Nevada, and shared the joyous news with his social media following.
In an Instagram post, Ford thanked all of those who donated to a GoFundMe campaign started in his name after his story went viral.
He said in the video it was a Christmas miracle that he finally has a place of his own to call home — where he can now host his children and grandchildren.
The GoFundMe campaign generated more than $400,000 in donations for Ford, who received a gift bag from Burger King for his 27-years of dedication and perfect attendance record. In it, Ford found a single movie ticket, one Starbucks cup, a slice of cake, two pens, two keychains, and some LifeSavers candy
His new Pahrump, Nevada, digs set him back $177,000, according to TMZ. The 846-square-foot home boasts three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
"I wanted to show you something, something you made possible, you did for me, just a hardworking guy," Ford said in the clip, posted on Dec. 29.

He acknowledged the place still needs furniture and that it is "not a mansion." But it's got mountain views, a porch, and a fenced-in backyard — and he's thrilled.
"Now, I know it needs some work, gonna cut off the haters already," he said. "I know it's not a mansion but it's mine."
He said that some of the remaining $439,000-plus raised for him will fund renovations to the home. He also wants to get his daughter a place to live.
Ford continues to work for the same Burger King store in McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, which is now an hour's commute for him, he told TMZ.
However, Ford doesn't mind: he said he loves driving.
