Video Shows Moment Israeli Soldier, Hamas Hostage Is Reunited With Family After Rescue From Gaza

A heartwarming video captured the moment a female Israeli soldier abducted by Hamas terrorists was reunited with her family following her harrowing rescue from Gaza.

Pvt. Ori Megidish was found in good condition, the Israel Defense Forces said in a joint statement with the security agency Shin Bet Monday, according to the Times of Israel.

Megidish, who was believed to be isolated in captivity, was rescued during an overnight ground operation. 

Video posted to the state of Israel’s X feed showed the soldier’s emotional reunification with her grandmother as the pair embraced.

“The moment Ori Megidish, who was kidnapped by Hamas on 7/10 was reunited with her grandmother,” the caption read. “We will do everything we can to bring the rest of our families home.”

The IDF said Megidish has already been able to provide valuable intel regarding the hostage situation in Gaza.

The details may be used in future hostage rescue efforts, IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, said, per the Times.

Megidish was among the more than 200 people taken hostage by Hamas during a surprise October attack on the Jewish state that claimed 1,400 Israeli lives.
