Watch: Dramatic Videos Show Police at Morgan State Searching Dorms Room-by-Room After Five Were Shot
SWAT teams had guns drawn as they went through the building
Police went room to room in a dormitory looking for suspects after a shooting left five people wounded at Baltimore’s Morgan State University on Tuesday evening.
The campus was locked down for about four hours as the search went on.
Morgan State student Imani Jackson told WBAL-TV she saw the SWAT officers race onto the campus.
“We were so confused about what was happening," Jackson said. “It was so scary.”
Several dorm windows were shattered from gunfire so officials initially thought the shooter was inside the building.
Videos posted on social media showed SWAT teams with guns drawn going into dorm rooms in Thurgood Marshall Hall and ordering students to stand up and turn around.

The shooting happened just after a popular homecoming event where Mister & Miss Morgan State were coronated at the Murphy Fine Arts Center at the historically Black college.
Konnor Crowder, a sophomore from Baltimore, said he and his friends had been waiting for the coronation ball to start when they saw people running.
“First I was wondering what they were running for, then I was wondering where we should go,” he said.
Police Commissioner Richard Worley said the five victims, four men and one woman, are between the ages of 18 and 22. Four of the victims were students.
Their injuries were not life-threatening, he told reporters at a news conference early Wednesday.
The lockdown was lifted shortly after midnight even though the suspect or suspects remained on the loose.
Morgan State University President David Wilson canceled Wednesday's classes, and planned an emergency meeting Wednesday morning to decide whether to hold other homecoming events before Saturday’s football game.
“I’m terrified. On Saturday we’re supposed to be having a big party. I don’t want to be on campus,” Jackson said.
