Dramatic Footage Shows Hezbollah Suicide Drone Bombard Israeli Army Troops in Northern Israel
Hezbollah and Israeli forces have exchanged fire for weeks since the start of Israel's war against Hamas
Dramatic video footage captured the moment a Hezbollah "suicide" drone darted across the Lebanese border into northern Israel on Tuesday, narrowly missing an encampment.
The clip, posted on X by Emanuel Fabian, a military correspondent for the Times of Israel, provides a front-row view of the continuing skirmishes between the Iran-backed militants and Israeli troops, as the two forces have exchanged gunfire, missiles, and drones amid the ongoing war against Hamas in Gaza.
In the 16-second video, the buzzing drone can be heard whirling closer to the person filming the footage moments before an explosion is heard nearby.
As the camera turns, a plume of gray smoke is seen rising from the ground, close to the canopy where the video camera is stationed.
Apparent gunfire from Israeli forces can also be heard throughout the clip, as troops try to strike down the device.
The drone targeted Israeli troops a day after an Israeli airstrike killed a TV correspondent and her photographer working in Lebanon, according to the Lebanese information minister and the network that employed the journalists.

Israeli and U.S. leaders have repeatedly warned Hezbollah against entering the war between Israel and Hamas that's followed the latter's Oct. 7 massacre that left some 1,200 people dead and more than 200 held hostage.
Israeli attacks in Gaza have meanwhile killed more than 13,000, including many children, according to the Hamas-run Health Ministry.
Earlier this month, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah stopped short of declaring all-out war between Hezbollah and Israel but confirmed Hezbollah would remain involved in the conflict.
He also implied there still may be further escalations, saying “all scenarios are open on our Lebanese southern front. All options are laid out and we can adopt any at any point in time.”
Hezbollah has also recently targeted U.S. military bases in Iraq and Syria, and has vowed to keep up the attacks even after the war and Gaza concludes.
On Monday night, the U.S. military killed several other Iran-backed militants in air strikes from an AC-130 gunship in Iraq, soon after a nearby American military outpost was attacked by a barrage of rockets.
