Mom Outraged After Aunt Permanently Tattoos Her 7-Year-Old Child: ‘I Called the Police and CPS’
The mom is trying to press charges but has been having difficulty with police
The mother of a 7-year-old girl is furious after her daughter’s aunt permanently tattooed the girl’s leg while she was visiting family in California.
In a series of three videos, Kadeidra New explained on TikTok that she had let her daughter Jayde go to California over the summer to visit her dad’s side of the family.
While her daughter was staying with her aunt, New said that she got a phone call where Jayde asked if she could get a tattoo. New said she told her “no” and they carried on with their conversation.
New thought that the call was the end of that idea, so she was shocked to see when her daughter came back from California that she had a faded black line that appeared to be in the shape of a heart on Jayde’s leg.
After recounting the series of events with Jayde, her daughter confirmed that she had told her aunt that her mom had said “no,” but her aunt gave her the tattoo anyway. Her daughter told her that the aunt allegedly used the same needle to tattoo two other kids.
“Why would you put a real tattoo (on a child)? Who would ever think that you’re talking about a real tattoo? Not pen, not henna, a real tattoo,” New said in the second video of her series.

New shared that she has called police and Child Protective Services, but police are having trouble looking into the case because New said the family had been “squatting” and that they did not have a valid address, which she said she did not know about.
New said in a comment on TikTok that she has filed a restraining order against the aunt and that Jayde is “definitely not” ever seeing her again.
In the final video of the series, New showed the messages between her and family members, which she has now blocked, where they claim the tattoo was actually just henna, a style of temporary tattooing. New said the tattoo has been on her daughter’s body for “over three weeks,” whereas henna tattoos typically last up to three weeks.
The next plan of action for Jayde is to take her to a doctor to make sure the tattoo is not infected, which New said she would be doing within the next couple of weeks.
New said she has also begun looking into getting the tattoo removed and has set up a GoFundMe to cover the costs.
