A Texas man was charged with murder after he reportedly stabbed his brother to death during an argument over whose turn it was to do the dishes.

John Michael Bueno, 41, was arrested in Baytown, a suburb east of Houston, on Sunday after an unnamed witness reported the incident to police, according to Houston station KTRK-TV.

Bueno reportedly began to tussle with his 32-year-old brother over who should complete the household chores sometime before 7 p.m.

As the fight escalated, Bueno grabbed a knife and stabbed his brother, killing him.

When officers with the Baytown Police Department arrived, they found the 32-year-old's lifeless body on the kitchen floor.

They said the brothers had a history: Police were routinely called out to the residence to break up physical and verbal altercations between the pair.

Bueno's bond has been set at $175,000.
