Texas Father Shoots Daughter’s Stepfather After She Accuses Him of Sexual Abuse: Police 

Police in Houston say a man shot his daughter’s stepfather Friday night after the father heard his 12-year-old daughter claim she’d been sexually abused by him.

The incident happened around 8:30 p.m. at an apartment complex where the mother, daughter and stepfather lived, according to police.

The Houston Police Department said the daughter left a note for her mother that the stepdad had sexually abused her. The mother told the biological father about the accusation Friday night outside her apartment. Police say the stepfather returned home and was confronted about it, to which he denied the allegations.

Police said that’s when the father shot the stepfather three times — once in the stomach and twice in the leg. 

The stepfather was taken to a hospital, where he is described to be in bad condition.

HPD said the father remained on the scene and cooperated with authorities. He could be charged with assault with a deadly weapon.

Police are investigating the case and have already interviewed the daughter regarding her claims of sexual abuse. No charges have been filed against either man yet.
