The Supreme Court on Monday dropped a case that would allow members of Congress to sue a government agency to obtain records related to a hotel once owned by former President Donald Trump.
Democrats dismissed the case after it was approved on lower court.
Lawmakers were able to obtain the records of former Trump International Hotel through other means, as reported by The Hill.
The case focused on whether members of Congress, but not a full committee, could demand executive branch documents under a specific federal law.
