A woman in Indiana has been charged with intimidation after she allegedly brandished a gun during a heated dispute at a school bus stop.

The altercation escalated from an ongoing feud between two students from Tri-North Middle School, which involved threats of physical harm.

On Friday, August 25, the tension reached a boiling point.

According to a police report from the Herald Times, one of the students embroiled in the feud called her mother at 7:04 a.m. She allegedly told her that Taleah Joe Vaught, the stepmother of her rival, had arrived at the bus stop and started yelling at her.

A senior from Bloomington High School North intervened when the 34-year-old Vaught allegedly pulled out a gun.

Local station FOX59 News spoke to witnesses who claimed that Vaught "displayed a small, black handgun, but did not point at anyone, and told her ‘I’ll kill you in the streets.'"

In an interview with the police, Vaught reportedly confirmed owning a small, black handgun but denied brandishing it at the bus stop.

Bloomington police arrested Vaught and charged her with felony intimidation. Her bail has been set at $5,500.
