Women Shop Sketchy Facebook Group Founded by ‘The Sperminator’ for Anti-Vax Sperm Donors
Despite no evidence, anti-vaxxers remain convinced the vaccine can damage the reproductive system
A growing number of soon-to-be moms have started seeking out unvaccinated sperm donors, believing that the COVID-19 vaccine damages the reproductive system.
Jonathan David Rinaldi, a failed politician better known as 'The Sperminator,' is a prolific sperm donor who was a longtime active member of the Facebook group Sperm Donation USA, allegedly, the largest sperm donation group in America. His life as a "known donor" was profiled in a 2022 "Humans of New York" post.
However, the 44-year-old noticed that a lot of potential moms were asking for donors who were not vaccinated. As a proud anti-vaxxer, Rinaldi decided to start a separate group just for like-minded folks who are fueled by misinformation and anecdotal evidence.
"I don't trust big government, big pharma, I don't trust them, and I don't need to inject myself with things that I don't even know what it is," Rinaldi told the Daily Mail.
The anti-vaxxers in Rinaldi's group seem to buy into the widely spread idea that a man's sperm can be negatively affected by the COVID-19 vaccine, despite no actual evidence and the CDC repeatedly demonstrating the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine.
Thankfully, there's a good amount of evidence that this anti-vax sperm donor movement is ultimately pretty limited.
