A third suspect was arrested in connection with the murders of Savanah Soto, 18, and her 22-year-old boyfriend Matthew Guerra, San Antonio Police announced Wednesday.

Myrta Romanos, 47, was charged with three felonies, including alter, destroy or conceal a human corpse, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence, according to an SAPD spokesperson.

A week ago, on Jan. 3, police arrested Christopher Preciado, 19, and his 53-year-old father Ramon Preciado.

"At this time, we're confident there will be no more arrests," police spokesperson Lt. Michelle Ramos said at a press conference Wednesday afternoon.

On Dec. 23, Soto was reported missing after she didn't show up to a local hospital where she was scheduled to be induced.

Family and friends frantically searched for Soto and her boyfriend, who was also missing.

On Dec. 26, police responded to a call at a San Antonio apartment complex where they discovered their bodies inside a silver Kia Optima, which belonged to Guerra. Both of them had been shot in the head.

Police said at the time that an unborn child was also a victim in what they considered a capital murder investigation.

On Friday, Police Chief William McManus said detectives recovered a gun allegedly used in the murders while conducting a search the Preciado home.

Investigators believe the gun belongs to Romanos.

"She stated that was her gun," Ramos told reporters.

Christopher allegedly told police that Soto and Guerra drove to his home to sell him marijuana and claimed Guerra pointed a weapon at him.

He told investigators he shot Soto and Guerra while wrestling for the gun, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the San Antonio Express-News.

Police stated in the court document that his story was inconsistent with the gunshot wounds and additional evidence collected at the scene.

Christopher was arrested and charged with capital murder.

Investigators said Ramon helped move Soto and Guerra's bodies once they had been killed.

Both men were charged with abuse of a corpse and with altering or destroying evidence.

Police described Romanos as a "step-mother" to Christopher and in a relationship with Ramon.

They lived in the same home, police said.
