Cops Stop 5 McLaren Owners Speeding Up to 100 MPH: ‘This Isn’t a Race Track’
Police pulled over the five sports car drivers in South West England on Monday
A group of McLaren drivers were pulled over Monday after driving over 100 mph on a busy road in South West England, news outlet Metro reported.
Five cars were pulled over on the popular A303 route after treating the busy road as a “racetrack,” police officers said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Authorities said the drivers were driving in close proximity to each other and other motorists.
“This isn’t a race track so take your ‘driving experience’ and sign the traffic offence report,” the post read.
The Wiltshire Specialist Ops also took a jab at the flashy drivers. When asked how the officers stopped all five cars at once, the police joked the drivers “can only go a few miles before they have to pull over and take pictures of their cars,” according to the news outlet.
Some X users took to the social media platform to criticize the police force for stopping the drivers.

“The war on motorists continues....a shame they don't go after the real criminals in parliament,” one user, known by the username RS, replied to the law enforcement’s post.
Although the sports car drivers were cruising at dangerously high speeds, the news outlet noted that the previous year, another supercar driver was recorded driving even faster at 142 mph. The BMW i8 driver was reportedly caught moving at "track speeds" on the bustling M5 motorway near Bristol, England.
