Over a Billion Dollars in Powerball, Mega Millions Drawings This Week After No Winner Again
The next drawing will have a jackpot of $650 million with a cash value of $328.3 million
The Powerball lottery jackpot has reached over half a billion dollars after several weeks without a winner.
The $631 million prize, which has a cash option of $318 million, went unclaimed during the latest drawing on Saturday, according to the Powerball website.
The lucky numbers were 7, 23, 24, 32, and 43, with Powerball number 18.
The next drawing, scheduled for Monday, July 10, will have a jackpot of $650 million with a cash value of $328.3 million, CNN reported.
“The decision to raise the jackpot was the result of strong ticket sales and an increase in the interest rates used to fund the annuitized prize,” the Multi-State Lottery Association, an organization that helps run the Powerball, told the outlet.
Saturday's drawing marks the 34th consecutive one without a winner.

Combined with the Mega Millions' $480 million jackpot prize, over $1.1 billion is available between the two popular contests.
However, some lottery players did not end the day without a prize on Saturday.
Per Powerball, at least three people won the $1 million Match 5 jackpot in California, Colorado, and Illinois.
It's worth noting that the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are incredibly slim, with a chance of 1 in 292,201,338.
Despite standard methods or beliefs about lucky or "hot" numbers, all combinations have an equal chance of being selected.
