‘One Way to End a Vacation’: Traveler Leaving Las Vegas Wins $1.3 Million on Airport Slot Machine
Slot machines at the airport have brought in over $1 billion across the last 36 years
One lucky Las Vegas visitor can afford a first-class flight home — and then some — after hitting the $1.3 million jackpot on a slot machine at Sin City’s Harry Reid International Airport.
A short video posted to Twitter on Tuesday showed the Wheel of Fortune-themed machine lit up, a screen flashing the $1,330,133.04 score.
The airport confirmed the seven-figure win in a Wednesday retweet of the video.
“One lucky player cashed in BIG at LAS — winning $1.3 million dollars playing Wheel of Fortune Triple Double Emeralds in the Terminal 1 Esplanade,” the airport’s post read. “That’s one way to end a vacation — as a MILLIONAIRE!”
The winner was not immediately identified publicly.
As of November 2022, slot machines at the airport had generated over $1 billion in revenue across 36 years of partnership between their operator and the transit hub, according to local outlet FOX5.
