Ohio Meteorologist Busted Drunk Driving After Car Crash Tested at Over 3 Times Legal Limit: Police
Hollie Strano is accused of driving 70 mph in a 35 mph zone and drifting in and out of her lane
An Ohio meteorologist who allegedly crashed her car the night of Thanksgiving was arrested on the suspicion of drunk driving after police said she allegedly had a blood alcohol level of more than three times the legal limit.
WKYC-TV’s Hollie Strano was charged with operating a vehicle while impaired, according to police, WOIO-TV, the Akron Beacon Journal, and WKYC reported.
She is scheduled for arraignment Thursday afternoon in a Cuyahoga County court.
Officers responding to a call of a possible drunk driver on a Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, road, last week accused Strano of driving 70 mph in a 35 mph zone and allegedly drifting in and out of her lane, according to WKYC.
Her SUV came to a stop when she allegedly crashed into a utility pole and fire hydrant, police said, the Beacon Journal reported.
Police accused Strano of smelling like alcohol and conducted a field sobriety and breath test, during which she allegedly blew a .244 BAC, more than three times the legal limit of .08, per WOIO.
