Brazen joyriders broke into two New York City subway trains and took them for a joyride.

The NYPD said on Saturday afternoon in Queens, two unidentified individuals went into the operators compartments of two lead train cars parked at the Forest Hills-71st Ave. station.

They managed to operate the trains and went northbound out of the station.  It was unclear how far they got, but police said it was a “short distance.”

They then jumped out of the trains and took off on foot. They remain on the loose.

Both wore dark coats and backpacks.

No one was hurt in the incident and no damage to the trains was reported.

Police released a video showing the suspects in the trains. They are wanted for reckless endangerment charges.

This is not the first time a subway train has been taken for a joyride.

In 1993, a 16-year-old boy commandeered a subway train and took passengers on an 85-stop joyride.
