Juvenile Morgan State University Shooting Suspect Arrested 10 Days After 5 Shot on Campus
The five victims, four of whom are students, range in age from 18 to 22
A suspected gunman who shot five people during homecoming events at Morgan State University in Baltimore earlier in October was arrested this week, police said on Friday.
The suspect is 17-years-old and was arrested in Washington, D.C. on Thursday.
"In addition to this arrest, detectives have issued an attempted murder warrant for 18-year-old Jovan Williams in connection to this shooting," Baltimore Police said.
Williams is considered to be "armed and dangerous," and police advised the public to call 911 if he is seen.
The shooting happened around 9:25 pm on October 3 when five people, four of whom were students, were shot, Police Commissioner Richard Worley told the media in a press conference.
The victims, who all suffered non-life threatening wounds, ranged in age from 18 to 22, Worley said.

Police noted multiple windows were shattered so an active shooter situation was determined and that response was initiated, Worley said.
They later stated that evidence showed there were two shooters involved.
University President Dr. David K. Wilson said the shooting took place during the annual coronation event for homecoming.
“BPD has been working tirelessly on the investigation into this incident and are grateful for the many partners that assisted us in identifying and capturing one of our suspects," said Police Commissioner Worley. “We will not rest until Williams is in custody. While this arrest cannot undo the damage and trauma caused that day, it is my hope that it can bring some peace and justice to the victims, the Morgan community and our city.”
There was a $9,000 reward offered in the case.
