Text messages between women in Michigan who were dating the same cop simultaneously appear to show their plot to break into the man’s house and destroy his belongings, according to the police.

Colleen Compton, 30, and Brianna Cabano, 29, a suspended Detroit police officer, exchanged messages in which they “were seeking revenge” by breaking into the Roseville home of Detroit police officer Otis Funches Jr., who was also suspended at the time, according to Detective Joanna Gudel,  the Macomb Daily reported.

Gudel said that Funches was having sexual relations with Cabano while he was reportedly dating Compton at the time of the break-in incident, which happened in April.

A third suspect, Dayne Sears, 22, another suspended Detroit officer, was also reportedly involved in the incident. She is facing a pretrial on January 17.

“She (Compton) stated that they would make entrance through the window, destroy the property and get back Brianna’s chain,” Gudel said in a testimony, adding that both women plotted to destroy a Sony Playstation 5, a MacBook, a TV, and a camera.

Funches previously said at a hearing that he discovered a “strong odor of bleach” and noticed damage when he came to his house April 11.

The bleach was spilled over on his $2,200 MacBook computer and $350 hard drive. Two of his TVs were smashed and one of his walls had a hole.

Items missing from Funches' home included a camera, two camera lenses, a flash drive, a coat, an Apple Homepod, and about 20 shoes — one shoe each from about 20 pairs — according to Funches, who said that his insurance company paid $20,000 to resolve his claim.

Both women took part in a preliminary examination on Wednesday where the messages were revealed. They are facing charges of second-degree home invasion, home-invasion conspiracy, malicious destruction of property worth between $1,000 and $20,000 and larceny in a building.
