Eerie bodycam footage of police searching the sprawling home of missing Connecticut mom of five Jennifer Dulos and finding "what appeared to be red blood" played for the jury at the trial for a woman accused of conspiring to murder her and disposing of the body.

New Canaan Police Lt. Aaron LaTourette — the first witness to testify at Michelle Troconis' trial, which began Thursday — and another officer responded to Dulos' New Canaan home after she was reported missing by a babysitter on May 24, 2019.

Troconis is charged with conspiracy to commit murder, tampering with physical evidence, hindering prosecution and other charges in connection with the disappearance of her former lover's estranged wife.

Dulos' body has never been found — but a probate judge declared her dead in October.

Troconis has pleaded not guilty to the charges and said Thursday that she has been wrongly accused.

Upon arriving at Dulos' residence on Welles Lane, LaTourette and his fellow officer went room to room in the dark mansion before entering the garage using an access code provided by the babysitter, according to his testimony and 20 minutes of footage played for the jury.

There they saw what "what appeared to be red blood" on a black Range Rover, LaTourette testified in court presided over by Judge Kevin A. Randolph.

“I looked at the vehicle and noticed that it was weird to see red blood on the front of the vehicle,” he stated.

“It got my attention because it didn't match the color of the grille on the vehicle. … Initially I found myself discussing it possibly could be a deer strike in the roadway but there was no hair, there’s no damage indicating any such collision."

“It was so stark to the color of the car," he said.

The officers also said in the footage there appeared to be attempts to buff out scratches on the vehicle.

LaTourette also saw a bloody footprint inside the car as well as attempts to clean up blood on the floor of the garage with a few drops remaining on the pavement, he testified.

Troconis' long-awaited trial began without opening statements at the Stamford courthouse on Thursday — more than four years after Dulos went missing.

Authorities believe the mother of five was kidnapped and murdered by her estranged husband, Fotis Dulos.

The couple, they alleged, were going through a contentious divorce and custody battle when Jennifer went missing.

Fotis was charged with her murder but died by suicide in early 2020 before he could face trial.

Troconis, his lover at the time, has been accused of helping him dispose of his wife's dismembered body by bagging up the remains and scattering them in dumpsters around the city of Hartford.

"It's been 4 1/2 years since I was wrongly accused," Trocois said in a post on X Thursday.

"Today, I stand here with my family and friends by my side, their love and support keep me strong. I have faith in Justice and the jury system. And I'm ready to finally move forward with this trial."

On Wednesday, Dulos' family issued a statement on the eve of the trial, calling for "accountability" in the case.

"It has been more than four years and seven months since Jennifer Farber Dulos was murdered and disappeared," they said.

"As this trial begins, it is crucial to remember who is at the center: Jennifer, whose five children have lost their mother and, as an eventuality, both parents.”

Troconis' trial is expected to last several weeks.
