Authorities arrested a McDonald’s employee accused of shooting and killing a disruptive customer during their shift on Monday.

The Hendersonville, N.C., fast food restaurant employee, whose identity has not been released, has been charged with homicide, local police said, noting the incident appeared to be isolated.

Preceding the deadly shooting, an argument between the victim and another woman at a nearby bus stop spilled into the McDonald's location, according to Hendersonville Police Chief Blair Myhand, WLOS-TV reported.

The restaurant manager and employees intervened, prompting the victim to leave.

The suspect fled but was arrested a short time later, according to the station.

It is believed the suspect and victim did not know each other.

However, the victim was known to police, who said they responded to multiple calls over the weekend involving her "erratic behavior," according to the outlet.

The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
