Members of the House Freedom Caucus are considering pushing some Representatives out of the group due to internal tensions, a Politico report revealed on Friday. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is one of the possible targets.

Two members of the group have allegedly discussed possibly booting members and brought it up to Freedom Caucus Chair Scott Perry (R-Pa.) without citing names, saying some colleagues are not meeting the groups standards, according to Politico's anonymous sources.

They signaled Greene could be one of those to be purged, even though the members brainstorming it have not named anyone specifically. The caucus could see Greene as being "inactive."

Greene has also become a close ally of Speaker Kevin McCarthy, which could be seen as too inclined towards GOP interests.

Perry denied any removal requests to Politico.

Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.), also a member of the caucus, also denied trying to push Greene out, but did say she had been "critical" of the group "for a long time."
