Man Allegedly Stole Forklift From Lowe’s, Fatally Ran Over Woman in Home Depot Parking Lot
Bryce Caleb Timothy Brown has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, assault, theft and other related charges
Authorities arrested a man accused of using a stolen forklift to chase down and murder a woman he had never met, in a seemingly random attack in a Maryland parking lot.
Bryce Caleb Timothy Brown has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, assault, theft, and other related charges in connection with the death of Gloristine Pinkney, according to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say Brown, 20, allegedly broke into a Lowe’s Home Improvement store in Waldorf, Md., around 12:40 a.m. on Sunday and stole a forklift.
He then allegedly drove the forklift to a nearby Home Depot parking lot, where authorities say he intentionally rammed a car.
“A woman, who was asleep in the car, got out when the forklift struck her car and began running away,” a news release reads. “Brown followed her, struck her with the forklift, ran over her, and then stole the victim’s car and fled.”
Officers investigating the burglary at Lowe’s observed the stolen forklift in the Home Depot parking lot, where they subsequently found Pinkney, 73, pinned beneath it.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, per authorities.
The investigation revealed that Brown and Pinkney did not know each other.
Brown was arrested that same day after the victim’s car was recovered near his home.
A motive remains under investigation. Brown is currently being held at the Charles County Detention Center without bond, authorities say.
It’s unclear if he has retained an attorney to comment on his behalf or if he has entered a plea to the charges.
