Major Airlines Cancel All Flights To and From Tel Aviv
Several major airlines, including United Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Air Lines, have temporarily stopped flights to and from Tel Aviv
Several major airlines have suspended their services to Tel Aviv, Israel, in response to the violent conflict between Hamas and Israel that has left over 700 dead.
Several major airlines, including United Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Air Lines, have temporarily stopped flights to and from the international airport near Tel Aviv.
The Federal Aviation Administration issued a statement urging U.S. airlines and pilots to exercise "extreme caution" when flying at any altitude in Israeli airspace, per CBS News.
The advisory comes amid ongoing violence in Israel, after a surprise attack by Hamas, a Palestinian militant group, this weekend. Hamas has kidnapped civilians and paraded their bodies through the streets.
According to CNBC, United Airlines turned back its Flight 954 en route from San Francisco to Israel when it was near Greenland.
Other international carriers, such as Air France, Lufthansa, Emirates, Ryanair, and Aegean Airlines, have also canceled flights to Tel Aviv.
